Sunday day 7-8-9

We made it through Beazly on Friday and were anchored in Octopus island marine park in good time. A very peaceful spot , listening to eagles and resident loon along with a small group of Black scotes.

With the nasty forecast for johnstone straight we stayed another day, lots of rain and no cell coverage ( hence the delay in updates).

I was out rowing to the inlet and managed a short call to robin before it was gone and was unable to get a signal again.

We left today just before noon to catch slack at upper and lower rapids near Hole in the wall, timing was good and we got through without any drama.

As we turned the corner (Chatham point) we found no wind in Johnston straight. However all reports indicate the winds build up in the afternoon , so we are sticking to the plan of an early getaway tomorrow and be at port Neville before the winds build up.
Tatoosh is ready: we have the staysail ready to go, jack lines are on

Food wise:

We had leftover rice ( fried with veggies) and reheated meat patties ( last of fresh meat). I made an apple crisp and a batch of pita bread dough which should last until we are near a store again.
Tonight will be canned chicken with curry sauce, pasta and salad.
Photos:
This will be last update until we get back to cell coverage.

Shows Beazly on the chart which looks dicey until you see it in person. Pencil is where tatoosh was anchored for 2 days along with panorama of the anchorage
