The Game is Afoot!

I was out on the coast the week of March 13 to 'un-winterize' Tatoosh and get her ready for sale. I signed up with Thunderbird Marine and as of March 19 she is for sale.

Not sure how long of a process this will be, but based on the data the broker had for previous Valiant sales, it could be anywhere from 3 months to a year! I hope it happens soon enough that I can find a replacement this season.

In the meantime, I will try to organize some farewell sailing with previous crew before Tatoosh is sold. More on that in another post.

Another Pacific Seacraft that has come back on the radar is the Dana 24. This sounds small ( and it is) but it has a similar open plan to the 27 and isn't that much smaller. There are a number of Dana fanatics out on the 'inter-web' to convince you that they are a good solid boat despite the size.  [ Dana Review  ]see ] and here for an example of a DANA 24:  Dana for sale

When I started this process there were a number of PS 31's on the market, now there is one, older than 2015 i.e. affordable, so who knows what will be available when Tatoosh has sold.

I have to say that it felt a bit odd opening up Tatoosh for the season knowing that I could be doing that for the last time; bit like saying goodbye to an old friend!

Over and out for now.
