We left about 11 after topping up fuel tanks. Did Wing on wing down satellite channel while listening to the dramas on VHFch 16- at least 4 sets of kayakers being rescued and a number of boats in trouble including a 50' boat on the rocks on Samsum narrows which we passed. Coast guard and 3 other boats trying to get the poor guy off the rock. Looks like he cut a corner too sharp!- expensive mistake.
Garth was very persuasive and convinced me to have dinner in the pin we rowed to. Then we wrestled with the anchor windlass trying to reset our anchor. Rust on the chain combined with a wicked twist in the chain ( like you can get in a garden hose) was making it jam up about every meter we hauled in!
